Ingredients for Easy Pita Pizza
There are only four parts for making pita pizzas. There are so many ways to create your own pizzas, and I have lots of suggestions later in this post.
- Pita Bread – you can find this in the bread aisle of every grocery store. Use white or whole wheat pita or any kind you like. Lavosh also works.
- Pizza sauce – We love store bought sauce and always have it on hand. You can also use pasta sauce. You could also use pesto!
- Cheese – Shred your own mozzarella – it’ll melt better than pre shredded mozzarella cheese.
Topping Ideas
- Use your favorite meats – pepperoni or sausage, ham, bacon, Canadian bacon or even leftover chicken thighs.
- Veggies, etc: Thinly sliced mushrooms, bell peppers, jalapeno, red onion, chopped fresh spinach, diced tomatoes, and sliced olives are some great vegetables to add that don’t need precooking. You can even add pineapple or Kalamata olives, red peppers or anything you like.
- Sprinkle the top with herbs, red pepper flakes, dried oregano, minced garlic, or fresh basil.
