Do you have a pizza night every week? We do, and we always look forward to slices of our favorite four cheese pizza that we make ourselves. Well, except for the dough – to make it really easy, I just use store-bought. It makes pizza night a whole lot easier.

If you’re a cheese lover this pizza will be a huge hit – it always is in my house. With two kinds of cheddar cheese, Parmesan and mozzarella you’re not going to want to stop with just one slice!

Ingredients for pizza making are arranged on a white surface: a roll of pizza crust, pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic, Parmesan, mozzarella, sharp cheddar cheese, and medium cheddar cheese.

Ingredients Needed

  • Pizza Dough: Using a store-bought dough makes this so easy. You can use Pillsbury or similar, or a crust from the deli section.
  • Garlic: Mince this garlic for some extra flavor – I add this to jarred pizza sauce
  • Pizza Sauce: You can use store-bought or homemade
  • Cheese: Sharp and Medium Cheddar, Parmesan, and Mozzarella are the best cheeses for this pizza
  • Italian Seasoning: Adds some amazing extra flavor!

How to Make a Cheese Pizza

  • I pre-bake my pizza crust for a few minutes before adding toppings, at 400°F.
  • Stir garlic into the pizza sauce.
  • Put an even layer of pizza sauce on the crust. Add garlic, mozzarella, sharp and medium cheddar cheese mixed evenly across the crust. Sprinkle on Italian seasoning and then sprinkle the parmesan on top.
  • Put back in the oven for 6-8 minutes or until done. Crust should be a golden brown and cheese should be fully melted.

A rectangular pizza topped with melted cheese, herbs, and tomato sauce is sliced into square pieces. The crust is golden brown and crispy, set on parchment paper on a wooden surface.

Expert tips

  • If you don’t have pizza sauce you can use marinara sauce in a pinch.
  • I like to bake the pizza on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and coated in cooking spray. Stretch the dough to fit onto the sheet.
  • Other cheeses you can use and add are gorgonzola, gouda, blue cheese, white cheddar, or provolone cheese.
  • If you want to add a topping, you can add pepperoni, fresh basil leaves, red pepper, tomatoes, or Italian sausage.
  • Let the pizza cool for 10 minutes before slicing so the cheese doesn’t just fall off the pizza.
