This Ground Beef Gyro Recipe is a twist on a classic gyro. You get all of the flavors of seasoned meat, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, and creamy tzatziki sauce but easier to make. This is an easy ground beef recipe that’s great for weeknight dinners.
We love Greek food, and ground beef gyros are an easy way to get fresh Greek flavors at home. Traditional gyros are made with lamb meat that is processed and cooked on a rotisserie. The meat is sliced and served in a pita with toppings. We love them but making our lamb gyro meat is not something we can do at home.
So, I make gyros using ground beef instead. It’s quick and easy with the same flavor profile as the original. If you’re craving Greek flavors, this is a great recipe to make at home instead of going out for dinner.
