This Easy Crockpot Apple Cider recipe is one of my favorites to make for the cooler months. Like my apple cider mimosa, this is the perfect hot cider recipe. It just needs to simmer in the crockpot all day, so you do not need to do much! Add some fruit and spices to your cider to elevate the taste – and just let it simmer all day long. This is great for a party and no matter what, it’ll make your house smell amazing.
Ingredients Needed
- Apple Cider: The classic base for this warm drink – try to find real apple cider, not apple juice.
- Orange Slices and Apples: Adds depth of flavor
- Cinnamon Sticks: Makes this drink have the perfect fall spice. You can also add whole cloves or star anise.
How to make Slow Cooker Apple Cider Recipe
- Pour apple cider into crockpot.
- Cut apples and orange into chunks. Add to crockpot along with cinnamon sticks.
- Cook on HIGH for 2 hours or low for 3-4 hours.

Expert Tips
- This homemade apple cider recipe can be made with any kind of apples for garnish. I used gala or fuji, but you can use honeycrisp, golden delicious, pink lady, Granny Smith apples, or anything you want. I try and use sweet apples.
- If you want to make crock-pot apple cider with some more spices, you can add a little nutmeg or fresh ginger.
- I like to add cranberries occasionally too (when I can find fresh).
- Serve it in a mug or a glass. You can even top it with whipped cream and/or caramel sauce if you want.

- Cook time: you can cook on high or low power, really the crockpot is just heating it up and melding all the flavors. Once it’s hot, time doesn’t matter that much.
