Dorothy’s expert tips
- Recipe tip for summer: cook the chicken out on the grill!
- I prefer the thin-sliced breasts because they cook a lot faster. You can also use chicken tenderloins.
- You can easily prep ingredients ahead so all you have to do is assemble it when you’re ready for lunch! Cook and slice the chicken ahead and it will keep in the fridge for three to four days. Note: you can cook and crumble the bacon ahead of time, but it won’t be as crispy.
- Have you ever tried a Grilled Caesar Salad?! It’s delicious.

Variations and Add-Ins
- Consider these possible additions: croutons, salt and pepper, green onions.
- This receipt tastes amazing with real bacon, but a possible variation if you’re short on time is to use bacon bits.
- The bacon grease gives a lot of flavor to the chicken, but you can add some spices to the chicken before cooking if you’d like – try italian seasoning, garlic powder, or even some worcestershire sauce.
