Ingredients for Crockpot Little Smokies

  • Two packages of little smokies
  • Canned cranberry sauce – I like to use canned whole cranberries instead of the jelly kind.
  • BBQ sauce – choose your favorite flavor.
  • Sriracha
  • Brown sugar

For this recipe, it’s easy to customize the flavors you’re your taste. Adjust the amount of sriracha if you want it less spicy, or try different BBQ sauces to switch up the flavor.

How to Cook Little Smokies

Combine the cranberry sauce, BBQ sauce, sriracha, and brown sugar in the crockpot. Add the little smokies and stir to coat them in the sauce.

Cover the slow cooker and cook the sausages and sauce on low for four to six hours or on high for two to four hours.

Serve with toothpicks so everything can help themselves.

Recipe FAQs

Can you cook them on the stove? If you don’t want to make slow cooker little smokies, you can cook them on the stove. Combine the sauce ingredients in a large pot, and then add the sausages. Turn the heat to medium and once the sauce is bubbling, lower it to medium-low.

Once the sauce is hot, and the sausages are warmed through, they are ready to serve.

Can you make them ahead? You can mix up the sauce and keep it in the refrigerator up to a day in advance. All you have to do the next day is put everything in the crockpot.

What’s the best way to keep them warm? If your slow cooker has a “warm” setting, you can leave them on that while they’re being served. You may want to stir them occasionally.

How long do leftovers keep? Leftover little smokies will keep for three to four days in the refrigerator. You can warm them in the microwave. For your next party, game-day event, or holiday give this crockpot little smokies recipe a try. With only five ingredients and five minutes of prep time, it doesn’t get any easier. They are always a hit and always delicious. Enjoy!
