Love a White Russian drink but want something non-alcoholic? Make this White Russian Mocktail that tastes just like the real thing โ€“ creamy and delicious but without the alcohol!

A Classic White Russian Cocktail has vodka, cream, and coffee liqueur but what about a non-alcoholic White Russian mocktail? I promise itโ€™s easy to do with just 4 ingredients. Creamy and sweet, you can have this in front of you in a matter of minutes. Itโ€™s the perfect dessert drink, and itโ€™s easy to change up the flavors (like making a Pumpkin Spice White Russian) or change up the ingredients to make it dairy-free.

Three beverage containers are displayed: a red carton of lactose-free whole milk, a small carton of organic half and half, and a bottle of cold brew coffee concentrate. They are arranged on a gray countertop with a white tiled background.

Ingredients

  • Coffee flavor: the main flavor in this drink is the coffee liqueur, which we must omit if weโ€™re making it a mocktail. There are a few options for this, but I love using cold brew concentrate, which you can find in the coffee aisle of any grocery store. Another option is to use coffee flavored coffee syrup (like Skinny Mixes Mocha Syrup or Torani Coffee Syrup).
  • Simple Syrup: If youโ€™re using the concentrate you must add simple syrup because the concentrate can be bitter.
  • Milk: You can use a combination of whole milk or skim milk and half and half, or use heavy cream. To make it non dairy, use oat milk, coconut milk, almond milk, etc. The creaminess comes from the fat content in the milk, so the higher the fat content the more creamy and thick the drink will be.

A hand pours espresso from a small measuring glass into a clear glass filled with milk. A frothy swirl forms in the milk. Another similar drink and a gold spoon sit on a wooden coaster and a gray surface in the background.

How to make a Virgin White Russian Recipe

  1. Use a short glass (i.e. an old fashioned glass). I donโ€™t use a cocktail shaker but you can.
  2. Pour the milk, coffee flavor, and syrup over ice and give it a very gentle stir.
  3. If you want the layers to be separated, pour the coffee flavor over the back of a spoon.
  4. Donโ€™t want to use the concentrate or coffee flavoring? You can use a shot of espresso or make an ounce if instant coffee โ€“ make it very strong โ€“ but be sure to still add the simple syrup.

Variations

  • Besides adding spices to flavor the drink you can use different flavored coffee syrups or even extracts, you can even garnish with candy canes or a cinnamon stick.
  • Add just a few drops of vanilla extract for even deeper flavor.
  • Use Mocha Syrup for a chocolate flavor, or even peppermint mocha syrup to make a Peppermint White Russian Mocktail for the holidays (garnish with a peppermint stick).

Turn a classic White Russian into a mocktail! This non-alcoholic White Russian Recipe uses coffee concentrate or syrup to make the best drink!
Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Yield 1 drink
Serving Size 1 drink

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces whole milk
  • 3 ounces half and half
  • 1 ounce cold brew concentrate
  • 1 ounce simple syrup

Instructions

  • Add half and half and milk to glass with coffee concentrate and simple syrup.
  • Stir, add ice.

Recipe Notes

I used cold brew coffee concentrate (sold in the coffee aisle). That, mixed with the
simple syrup is a substitute for Kahlua. If you can find coffee flavored coffee syrup (i.e.
Torani Coffee Syrup or Skinny Mixes Mocha Syrup) you can use an ounce of that in place of the concentrate and simple syrup (taste for sweetness).
