This Virgin Moscow Mule is the perfect edition to any get together. The flavors of ginger and lime go so well together – the kick and sweetness from the ginger pair so well with the lime – you won’t even miss the vodka!

Non-Alcoholic Moscow Mule

Moscow Mules are some of my favorite drinks because of the sweetness of the ginger beer and the lime juice brings in a tartness to the drink. It’s the perfect spicy citrus drink that’s not too sweet but the best part is that it is non-alcoholic! It’s such a refreshing mocktail recipe. Try this Virgin Moscow Mule Mocktail – you won’t be disappointed.

Virgin Mule Recipe Ingredients

  • Ginger Beer: Spicy ginger beer adds sweetness and spiciness that plays so well with everything else – just make sure to get non-alcoholic ginger beer.
  • Lime Juice: This is classic in a mule recipe – you can use fresh limes to make fresh lime juice or use bottled.
  • Club Soda: I like to add some to cut the sweetness from the ginger beer.

Substitutions & Variations

  • You can use water in place of club soda.
  • Don’t have or can’t find ginger beer? Use Ginger Ale.
  • You can add sweetener if you want a more sweet drink.
  • I also love to use diet or sugar-free ginger beer
  • You can make flavored mules really easily by adding cranberry juice (perfect for the holidays) or any fruit juices.

Expert tips

  • Add this drink to copper mule mugs to make this mocktail recipe truly authentic!
  • Using club soda will get this drink close to a traditional Moscow mule – normally vodka waters down the ginger beer and lime, but since we’re not adding alcohol, the club soda does this. Water is a good substitution.
  • Make sure you buy non-alcoholic ginger beer for this ginger beer mocktail.
  • This drink is best served as soon as it’s made – I don’t recommend storing leftovers.
