We are all about the easy cooking especially during the summer! There’s nothing I love more than firing up the grill and eating outside. These turkey skewers are always a favorite – they’re easy to prep, fast to cook, and always disappear when we make them.
For this recipe, we take lean ground turkey and mix it up with breadcrumbs and seasonings – sort of like making meatloaf. But, instead of baking it in the oven, you just form the mixture around skewers and cook them on the grill. They’re tender, juicy and delicious!

Ground Turkey Kabobs on the Grill
Making these kabobs are sort of like making meatballs except you don’t have the hassle of forming them into balls!
Just mix the following ingredients together in a large bowl:
- Ground turkey
- Minced onion and garlic
- Egg
- Chopped parsley
- Garlic powder, cumin, rosemary, and paprika
- Breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper
Place the mixture in the refrigerator. This will help it firm up and will make it easier to get it to stick to the skewers.
Once it’s chilled (after about 10 minutes), form the mixture around the skewers. I usually do this so I have several one or two-bite pieces of meat down the length of the skewer. Place them in the fridge for a few minutes so the meat can firm up again.
Grill over medium heat for four to six minutes on each side or until the turkey is cooked through.
