This Shirley Temple Drink is an easy cherry soda that kids and adults alike will enjoy. It’s such a classic drink but can be made a few different ways – which way will you make it?
Shirley Temple Recipe
This non-alcoholic drink recipe is a perfect drink for party, or to pair with a dinner! There is no alcohol in shirley temples which makes these great for everyone to enjoy! Some make these drinks with ginger ale, and some make it with sprite (or other lemon lime sodas), so whichever one you like best is the best option.
This classic shirley temple drink has a sweet taste that will take you back to your childhood. Make this drink to add a fancy element to your meals! These classic drinks, like an Arnold Palmer, are so delicious!
Ingredients Needed
- Soda: The classic options are ginger ale or lemon lime soda (i.e. Sprite or 7-up) but you could also use club soda, soda water, or sparkling water.
- Grenadine Syrup: The classic shirley temple ingredient – it’s a maraschino cherry syrup. This can be found in the alcohol mixer aisle.
- Garnish: Cherries and limes are my favorite toppings for this drink.

- Make a virgin screwdriver by using orange juice in place of grenadine and garnish with an orange slice.
- Turn this into a cocktail by adding an ounce of vodka – this is called a Dirty Shirley Temple.
- Making this for Halloween? Make a Bloody Shirley!
