This Grinch Drink is the best mocktail for the Christmas! It is an easy lime punch recipe that will remind you of How The Grinch Stole Christmas – make it for a party and everyone will love it!
Turn your favorite Christmas movie into a Christmas punch! I love making mocktails and fun drinks for parties and this fun, kid friendly, easy grinch punch recipe is perfect for a Christmas gathering. It’s a fun holiday drink and a non-alcoholic recipe so it’s good for everyone and you can turn the lime and pineapple drink into a punch super easily.
Ingredients Needed
- Ginger Ale: You could replace this drink with a lemon-lime soda as well.
- Pineapple Juice: A little bit of pineapple juice adds a freshness to the drink.
- Lime Syrup: I’m using a lime version of a coffee syrup since it’s non-alcoholic. You can find this on amazon or often at stores like TJMaxx. You can also use lime juice and simple syrup or sweet and sour.
- Garnish: Red sanding sugar brings out the Grinch!

Variations
- Use ginger beer in place of the ginger ale or soda.
- Add maraschino cherries – the cherry can be like the Grinch “heart”
- Use lime kool-aid (if you can find it) for the lime flavor.
- To make a holiday season party punch: mix 32 ounces soda with 1/2 cup lime syrup and 1/4 cup pineapple juice in a large punch bowl. Add cherries to bring in the red color!
- Be sure to try the Christmas Cookie Drink and the Jack Frost drink too!
Expert Tips
- My lime syrup was the green color that the drink is. If your syrup isn’t, you’ll need to add food coloring if you want it green.
- Using soda like Sprite is a fine replacement for ginger ale if you already have it on hand.
- Serve immediately once made; the soda will go flat as it sits.
