Trio Rosemary Fries are a combination of three different kinds of French fries that are cooked in an air fryer until they’re tender and crispy. Using an air fryer requires a lot less oil, but they taste just as good as deep-fried fries. Make these as a side dish or appetizer with your favorite dipping sauce.

I love using our air fryer to make all of our favorite “fried” foods healthier, and these rosemary fries are one of our favorites. They’re trio fries made with sweet potatoes, russet potatoes, and carrots, and they are delicious when you air fry them.

You can serve them as appetizers, snacks, or side dishes for burgers, chicken tenders, or sandwiches. The variety of flavors is great – if you love French fries, you should definitely try this recipe.

    How to Prep the Fries

Wash the carrots and potatoes. I always peel the carrots, but sometimes I leave the skins on the potatoes – you can do either.

You will need to julienne the carrots and potatoes, which means to cut them into thin sticks.

First, trim the ends. Once you’ve done that, slice them into thin slices – they will look like planks. Lay the pieces flat and cut them into thin strips.

Place all of the fries in a bowl and toss them with olive oil, rosemary, garlic, and salt.

How to Cook Fries in an Air Fryer

Place the fries in an even layer in the air fryer. Depending on the size of your air fryer basket, you may need to cook them in batches.

Set the air fryer to 350 degrees. Cook the fries for 10 minutes and then flip them over. Increase the temperature to 400 degrees and cook the fries for two minutes or until they are crispy.

Season the fries with salt before serving.

    Dipping Sauce Ideas

When we make these, we like to do a variety of sauces. This is also great for parties – you can spread the fries out on a platter and place bowls with different sauces so people can choose their favorite. Here are some ideas:

    • Ketchup
    • Aioli
    • Herbed mayonnaise
    • BBQ sauce
    • Ranch dip

    Recipe FAQs

How long to cook fries in an air fryer? This will depend on the kind of fries you are cooking – for these trio fries, you only need to cook them for about 12 minutes.

Can I cook sweet potato fries in an air fryer? Yes, if you want to do all sweet potato fries, you can. They will need the same amount of time – 10 minutes at 350 degrees and 2 minutes at 400 degrees.

Can you reheat fries in the air fryer? We don’t usually have leftovers, but you can keep them in the refrigerator for a few days if you do. To reheat them, warm them in the air fryer for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. This will help them turn crispy again.

Give these fries a try the next time you need a side dish or appetizer – the combination of flavors and textures is great. I hope you enjoy it!
