What’s a Pimm’s Cup?

A Pimm’s Cup is a cocktail that originated in England. It’s a fruit cup drink that usually has gin, a soft drink, and fruit (almost like Sangria). When made with alcohol, the primary spirit is Pimm’s No. 1 Cup, which is a gin based liquor with fruits and spices.

I took the Pimm’s Cup out of the classic drink and made a party punch mocktail that tastes fruity and spicy just like the original!

How to make a Pimm’s Cup Mocktail

  1. You’ll need several ingredients for this recipe. The main ingredients are lemonade (use your favorite brand and flavor), soda (Coke or Pepsi), and Ginger Ale.
  2. You can use regular or diet soda (or lemonade).
  3. You can use any sliced fruit but don’t skip the citrus juices.
  4. Like sangria, it’s great to make it ahead to let the fruit soak.
  5. Tonic gets added at the end to replace that gin-like flavor.

Expert Tips

  • To make ahead of time, add all the ingredients and fruit to the pitcher except the carbonated drinks. You don’t want to add those until just before serving so they don’t go flat.
  • Serve over ice with a mint garnish! You can serve it with some of the fruit or not, your choice.
