This drink combines Dr. Pepper and Espresso which may sound like a weird combination, but trust me, it’s delicious. Think of this like a Dirty Dr. Pepper but made with coffee!

A glass of dark soda with a frothy top is garnished with three red cherries on a skewer. In the background, a bottle of Dr Pepper is partially visible. The glass sits on a gray surface.

This recipe is for everyone out there who loves Dr. Pepper. It’s controversial soda, you either love it or hate it, but after trying this drink – everyone will be asking for more. Soda drinks are all the rage these days, and since we don’t have soda shops where I live, I have to make my own.

This is my version of a Dirty Dr. Pepper: the classic soda mixed with espresso. You can even add some flavors if you want – either way it’s the new iced coffee and it’s so good.

A bottle of Dr Pepper, a bottle of Torani Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup, and a glass with a dark beverage are arranged on a gray countertop with a white tile background.

Ingredients

  • Dr. Pepper: You can choose your favorite kind of Dr. Pepper for this recipe – regular, diet, or flavored.
  • Vanilla: I used a vanilla coffee syrup but you could also use vanilla extract if you prefer.
  • Espresso: Use any strength or flavor of espresso.

Dirty Dr. Pepper Recipe Notes

  • Add the espresso over ice, then add the soda and vanilla.
  • You can use any other flavors you want – find tons of different flavors of coffee syrup on Amazon. Coconut or Hazelnut would be fantastic too. You could even add chocolate syrup.
