This Pomegranate Lemonade is a delicious refreshing drink that is a copycat of the best Disneyland drink: the Blurrgfire from Oga’s Cantina! You might think adding Tajin and hot sauce to lemonade is weird – but it adds so much flavor and adds depth of flavor to the lemonade – don’t knock it ’til you try it!

Two tall glasses filled with a bright red drink, topped with ice, on a wooden coaster. The rims are coated with a chili powder mixture. Two lemon halves and a whole lemon are placed beside the glasses on a gray surface.

The first time I went to Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland, I knew there were so many things I needed to try. One of my all time favorite drinks was from Oga’s Cantina called the Burrgfire: It combined sweet and spicy lemon and pomegranate all into one drink. It was unique and perfect and I knew I needed to make it.

This copycat mocktail combines sweet pomegranate juice and lemonade, but it also has some dashes of hot sauce and tajin. It might be scary on face value, but I promise it tastes amazing. If you love sweet, spicy, and Star Wars – you need to try this drink!

A collection of bottled products on a countertop, including pomegranate juice, lemonade, simple syrup, Tajín seasoning, and hot sauce. The background features a white tiled wall.

Ingredient Notes

  • Pomegranate Juice: This can be found in the refrigerated juice section usually near the produce.
  • Lemonade: Use your favorite brand or use homemade lemonade – low sugar/sugar-free lemonade is fine.
  • Hot Sauce: We use Tapatio, but you can use your favorite brand and your preferred spiciness too!
  • Tajin: For the rim – as someone who doesn’t love spicy things – I LOVE Tajin in drinks!

How to make Pom Mocktail

  • To coat the rim, run a lemon slice around the edge and then dip in the Tajin.
  • Add all the ingredients to a highball glass over ice.
  • Just a dash of hot sauce will do it! Stir before serving.
Two tall glasses of vibrant red-purple drink with ice and chili powder rims. They are placed on wooden coasters, surrounded by fresh yellow lemons, on a gray surface.

Expert Tips

  • Add fresh mint of lemon slices on the top for a garnish!
  • Pom juice is unsweetened, so depending on your preference you can add some simple syrup. I’d taste it first before adding it.
  • To make a pitcher: use 48 ounces lemonade, 16 ounces Pom, up to 8 ounces simple syrup to taste, and 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce.
